Great Eastern acquires Burlington, VT FM - Announced

In June of last year, a 50/50 partnership between veteran Washington, D.C., communications attorney Arthur Belendiuk and John J. Fuller came to an end via a $100,000 stock transfer agreement.

Now Fuller’s company in full, Impact Radio is moving forward with the sale of a Class C3 Country station serving the Burlington, Vt.-Plattsburgh, N.Y. region.

In a transaction agreed to on April 1, Impact Radio is agreeing to sell WTNN-FM (97.5 Eagle Country) in Bristol, Vt., to Great Eastern Radio.

That’s a New Hampshire-based licensee led by Jeff Shapiro.

With David O’Neil of Rini O’Neil serving as legal counsel, paperwork submitted for FCC regulatory approval indicates Great Eastern is paying $120,000 for the station.

A $25,000 deposit is being held by the broker of record, Richard A. Foreman Associates.

Assumption of a tower lease with Palidor LLC is tied to a third-party signatory clause.

Terms include a station-branded 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee; a Moseley STL analog transmitter and receiver; Burk remote control system; digital Optimod; Gates THE1 Exciter; Harris Solid State Z-10 transmitter; and transmitter spare parts.

Upon closing, WTNN will become a sibling to a dozen audio brands serving West Lebanon and Keene, N.H.; and Burlington-Williston, Vt. — marking Shapiro’s entry to his largest market yet.

Dick Foreman of RAFAMEDIA served as exclusive broker in the transaction.
